UNiTED won Arbalet Cup February after defeating PinG 2-1 in the Grand Final.
PinG, who began the first de_nuke set as CT, got off to a flying start, winning the first six rounds, before UNiTED managed to claim their first one. The Ukrainians took the score to 8-1, but then their opponents finally started to get their game flowing, which allowed them to go into the second half down 10-5.
In the second half, Malik "N1ck3L" Sualirov picked up an ace in the pistol round but that was not enough to stop PinG's rush on upper bombsite from bearing fruits. The Russians only managed to pull one back in the fourth round, but it was too little, too late, as PinG took the first map 16:6.
On the second map, which was de_nuke again, PinG won the pistol round once again, but UNiTED's good eco strategy equalised the match. The Russians then took control of procedures, as unlike what had happened on the first map, PinG were now finding it very hard to break down UNiTED's defence, as they set the score at 12-3.
PinG knew they had a mountain to climb with a nine-round deficit, but they did not lower their heads and won the pistol round, with their last player being killed only after the defuse. After losing the second round as well, UNiTED opted to buy and their inner-bombsite rush proved successful, and they were now just three rounds away from victory.
Hereupon, the Russians won their 14th round, but then PinG bagged five rounds in a row to put a lot of pressure on their opponents' shoulders. Dmitriy "hooch" Bogdanov's 1-on-2 situation set things at 15-10, but with the match point at hand, they would have to wait one more round before sealing a 16-11 victory.
